What is Geriatric Care (Case) Management?
  Geriatric Case Management involves the creation and implementation of a care plan that touches all areas of daily living, including but not limited to; economic, medical, psychological and social factors.
 

Why Do I Need a GCM?
  Nearly 100% of the families that contact and hire us to watch over their relatives do not live in Florida. It's fairly apparent, that we are needed function as surrogate family. We're here all the time, families are not. We know we can make a subtle yet significant difference for our clients. Here are two common scenarios; decide for yourself. Situation #1 An 86 year old goes to the theatre with a group from the condo. She falls and 911 is called. The responding ambulance is required by law to transport her to the nearest hospital. The hospital is 22 miles from the condo and none of her current physicians have privileges there. Now what???? Situation #2 During most hurricanes, seniors living in high rises are isolated when the power goes out and the elevator fails for a day and everything closes. Let's face it, if they're alone, they're at risk. During the last one we evacuated 12 of our clients to a hotel (in advance) and stayed in the hotel with them. Where was your relative?  

How Much Does It Cost?
  Ahhhhh...the big question that everyone wants to find out before committing, and which no website or brochure likes to answer unequivocably. 100% of the families that hire us, do so as the result of an "event". Initially, we spend between 8-16 hours to stabilize a presenting crisis situation. Subsequently, it will require between 6-10 hours a month to maintain it. If we're part of a Doctor's written order, our services can be tax deductible. We charge $85.00 per hour. We don't charge to take people to the mall, for cleaning, for shopping, to sit with them, to fix their sink; whatever is needed, we arrange for those services.
